A simple meditation for beginners is to simply become aware of your breathing for a set period of time such as 10, 15 or 20 minutes. If your focus wanders and thoughts invade your meditation space, then simply return to watching the breath again when you become aware of thoughts. Practice this meditation either with the eyes open or closed.
